The holidays are a
time for celebrating past accomplishments and setting priorities for the
future. In that spirit, Made-in-Alberta launches some new segments. “In
the Green” profiles an Edmonton business that sells environmentally
friendlier heating products. “Alberta Speaks” hears from some young
people at the U of A. Meanwhile, Barb does a little soul-searching and
planning of her own.
About “In the Green”
and “Alberta Speaks”
“In the Green” is
about Albertans who are marrying their environmental and social
aspirations with a successful business model. These one-minute profiles
showcase products and services that help consumers reduce their
ecological footprint. “In the Green” can also be about a business’s
internal operations, saving energy or reducing the environmental impact
of their process in some way. These one-minute profiles support Barb
Allard’s independent investigation of Alberta’s new energy transition.
About
Made-in-Alberta (MIA) Series
Energy, water and
climate, these are hot topics for the 21st Century. With conventional
fuel reserves running out, water tables running low, and global
temperatures running high, 96 percent of Albertans now want new energy
solutions. Since 2004, Barb Allard and her Made-in-Alberta team have
been finding these solutions and bringing them to community television
and the world-wide-web.
